Our History
Nichols Diner is a story of two brothers. Alan Nichols and Craig Nichols operated Dairy Mart back in 1988. Dairy Mart was the local hangout and became a staple in the community. Dairy Mart was very much a family affair, not only for the customers, but the Nichols family. The brothers worked together for several years. Alan's children played in the lobby and their father laid the brick for the building. After the Dairy Mart closed, the brothers went on to create their own restaurants. Craig opened Nichols Diner in 2003 and Alan opened Loretta's Country Kitchen in 2001. After years of serving the community, Craig was ready for retirement. In true Nichols style, there could be no other owner than a Nichols brother. Alan took ownership of Nichols Diner in 2020 to carry on the family tradition.

At Nichols Diner we exemplify a sense of community; to our customers and to each other. We aim to instill a sense of family in our employee's lives and that of our costumers. This is a place built on tradition, built to bring people together.
